DigiStaff made national news this week as we continue to bring ground breaking intelligent solutions to improve the services, productivity and workloads of UK councils.
We’re delighted to announce that Lambeth Council have joined our growing portfolio of clients and will be utilising our intelligent automated solutions to process low skilled and repetitive tasks. Digistaff automated robots will complete several tasks, including low-risk housing benefit claims, changes of address, and assessing Blue Badge applications.
According to the council report: “Automating these processes aims to reduce the day-to-day workload for the staff in the revenues and benefits team. Overall, this will produce a more reliable, faster and accurate service to residents at a lower cost to the council.” London News Online
This exciting partnership will allow Lambeth’s existing staff more time away from repetitive menial tasks, resulting in more free time to focus on complex tasks. It will also give management more flexibility in these challenging times of staff shortages and uncertainty.
Despite misconceptions of robot automations alienating human staff, Lambeth Council said there are no projected job losses linked to the move.
A spokesman said: “This project aims to produce faster, more reliable and more accurate housing benefit assessments, and resolve accessible transport cases quicker. “It also aims to cut the amount of data entry tasks our staff need to complete, meaning they can give more attention to complex decision-making. This partnership will help our staff, not replace them.”
